National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Banarhat Kartik Oraon Hindi Government College is affiliated to the University of North Bengal, West Bengal and was established in the year 2017. NSS is a student-centered programme that aims to develop the personality of students through community service. It is a noble experiment in academic extension that brings our academic institutions closer to the society. Many students join NSS and participate in various community related programmes in and around our college. Some of our activities include health awareness campaigns, environmental protection drives, awareness program on different social aspects, celebration of Hindi day, organised drawing competition on different emerging social theme, etc. Currently, the college has only one unit of NSS (Unit-I) and the Programmme Officer is Dr. Rahim Miyan, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi.
