About The Library
The Central Library of Banarhat Kartik Oraon Hindi Government College was established in the year 2014. The college library is located at the college building and is accessible to students of all classes and members of teaching and non-teaching staff. The Library comprises with the stack area and the reading room. The large furnished ventilated Reading Room is located adjacent to the stack area in the Central Library.
Mission
The library’s mission is to assist the college in developing a top-ranked, research-driven college by establishing a knowledge hub.The library facilitates access to a range of materials in addition to providing responsive, innovative, and efficient services to meet the shifting needs of the academic community.
Objectives
- To serve as a learning center for all of the students, faculty members and staffs.
- To act as a knowledge repository for data collection and storage.
- To provide users with up-to-date knowledge in a variety of subject areas.
- To deliver creative, adaptable, and efficient service that will satisfy the evolving needs of the academic community.
- To offer a variety of books, periodicals, e-resources, and other media in accordance with the demands of the institution.
- To create the best resources and facilities to meet academic and research demands both currently and in the future.
Goals
- To transform the Central Library of the Banarhat Kartik Oraon Hindi Government College into a fully functional state of the art automated library.
- To improve the library's usability so that faculty and students will use it to its fullest extent.
- To create a career guidance section , can significantly influence in the career development of the students.
